BrightSign sells a number of accessories that extend the interactive and output capabilities of BrightSign players.

BP200/BP900

The BP200 and BP900 button boards allow for interactive USB functionality. Button presses can be registered as events in BrightAuthor. These boards have a USB Mini-B connector.

BLC400

The BLC400 is a lighting controller that functions as a USB peripheral for a BrightSign player. It allows you to trigger up to four LED devices in response to scripted events or interactive inputs.

The LED channels can be manipulated in BrightAuthor.

LED Channels

Each LED channel supports a 12V source and load and can source up to 1A. The channels also have over-current and short-circuit protection.

The LED channels use a 2-pin Molex connector (part no. 43650-0212, 3.0mm single-row right angle with header). The part number of the mating connector is 043645-0200.

Power Supply

The power supply for the BLC400 is rated for 12V@5A and uses a 4-pin Molex connector.

USB

The BLC400 receives lighting-control instructions and transmits diagnostic data via the attached USB Type A (2.0) connector.

USB-C-to-GPIO Connector

The USB-C-to-GPIO Connector allows for GPIO functionality on the LS423 (which has a USB-C connector but lacks a GPIO connector). With this device, GPIO events and commands can be used in BrightAuthor presentations for the LS423 identically to any other GPIO-capable model.

This connector can also be used to expand the number of GPIO connections on models that have a built-in GPIO port (e.g. XD223, XT1143). However, there is currently no way to access the additional GPIO buttons in BrightAuthor; a custom script or BrightAuthor plugin is required to create multiple roControlPort instances.
