To set a password requirement for your USB drive:

  1. Specify the password when you run the setup.
  2. Select Local System Storage.
  3. Select USB in the Property Panel under Options (see the image on the right).
  4. Check the box labeled Publish for USB update.
  5. Enter the password that you entered when setting up the device in the Specify Password dialog box.
  6. Complete the publish.
  7. Insert the USB storage device into their BrightSign player. It will display a message indicating that a publish is in progress. On completion, the user is instructed to remove the USB drive; the system reboots and plays back the updated presentation.

If the user did not setup the device with a password, they don't need to specify one when publishing their update.
