Overview
English is the default language in BrightAuthor:connected, but it can also be viewed in any one of the following languages:
English (US)
German
French
Spanish
Italian
Japanese
Chinese (Simplified)
Once you switch to a new language, that choice should persist even if you logout or reboot.
Switching Languages
To switch to one of the above languages in BrightAuthor:connected:
Select the flag icon in the upper right hand corner of BrightAuthor:connected. This will open a pull down menu of language choices, represented by flags.
Select the icon that represents the language you want (see the image above)
A dialogue box, which asks you to confirm the language change, will appear. Save your work and select Continue to proceed.
The application will reboot, and the application will display the new language after reboot.
Additional Information
For decimal specifications like timeout seconds, you need to use x.y and not x,y even if that is how your locale specifies a decimal point.
If you revert to a version of BrightAuthor:connected that does not have localization (any version before 1.7.14), set the language that you want to see in the application before reverting, because the older version of BrightAuthor:connected will not have an interface that lets you select your chosen language.
