titleWhy did I get charged for overage when I am on a hard cap plan? How did I go over my limit?

Data usage is not updated in real time , and (it may take up to two days for data to be updatedupdate). If it data usage was updated beyond your overage, you were charged for the data used in between the period of time that it took from hitting the limit to when it was hit and the time was reported in the portal.
