The This USB-C-to-GPIO Connector allows for connector permits GPIO functionality on the LS423 (which has a USB-C connector but lacks a GPIO connector). With this plug and play device, GPIO events and commands can be used in BrightAuthor presentations for the LS423 identically to LS423 just as they can for any other GPIO-capable model.
This connector can also be used to expand the number of GPIO connections on models that have a built-in GPIO port (e.g. for example, XD223, XT1143). However, there is currently no way to access the additional GPIO buttons in BrightAuthor; a custom script or BrightAuthor plugin is required to create multiple roControlPort instances.

Limitations:
- If a player already has GPIO, you can't use standard GPIO events, even for the existing GPIO, if you add a GP800-C. You must add a plugin to manage the GPIO on the player, including the hardware GPIO and the USB-based GPIO on the GP800-C.
- You can use a USB-C to USB-A adapter to connect it to a non-USB-C port.
- This connector only works with BrightSign players
- This connector must be connected to the player at player boot - it's not hot-pluggable (just like the USB button panels). It must remain plugged in.
